Terms of Service for The Potted Parlor

Effective Date: 12/28/2025


Welcome to The Potted Parlor! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the purchase of rare indoor and tropical plants from our online store. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Eligibility: you must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to make purchases. By using our site, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. Products and Availability: We specialize in rare indoor and tropical plants. Availability may vary due to seasonal and supply conditions. Images and descriptions are for reference only; actual plants may differ slightly in size, color, or shape.

3. Pricing and Payment: All prices are listed in US currency (Dollars). Payment must be completed at checkout via accepted payment methods (e.g., credit card, PayPal). We reserve the right to update prices without prior notice.

4. Shipping and Delivery: We ship to contiguous  United States only. Excludes AK, HI, and US Territories. Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to weather, carrier delays, or plant health considerations. Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

5. Customer Responsibilities: By purchasing from The Potted Parlor, you agree to: Provide accurate and complete contact and shipping details. Follow the care instructions provided for each plant to ensure its health and longevity. Inspect plants upon delivery and report any issues within 24 hours. Understand that plants are living organisms and require ongoing care; failure to provide proper care may result in plant loss, for which The Potted Parlor is not liable. Comply with any local regulations regarding the import or ownership of specific plant species.

6. Plant Care and Risk: Plants are living organisms and require proper care. We provide basic care instructions, but survival depends on customer care. We are not liable for plant health after delivery unless damage occurred during shipping.

7. Returns and Refunds: Due to the perishable nature of plants, returns are generally not accepted. If your plant arrives damaged or unhealthy, contact us within 24 hours with photos for review. Approved refunds or replacements will be processed at our discretion.

8. Intellectual Property: All content on our website, including images, text, and branding, is the property of The Potted Parlor and may not be used without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability: We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services.

10. Privacy: Your personal information is handled according to our [Privacy Policy link]. By using our site, you consent to this policy.

11. Changes to Terms: We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes indicates acceptance.

Shipping terms/Refund policy

  

All orders will be shipped within 3 to 6 business days from the time the order is placed. Please allow up to 5 business days for your order to be processed prior to shipping. Please note that processing times & transit times are separate. Processing times are the amount of time needed for The Potted Parlor to ship your plants. Transit times are the amount of time your order will be with the mail carrier traveling to you.

Our standard shipping is USPS Priority. We do offer UPS 2ndDay for an upgrade. If there is another shipping carrier you prefer to use, please feel free to contact us for an estimate on cost. 

Should your order be delayed in transit, The Potted Parlor will not be held liable for damaged plants. We take every precaution possible to ensure a safe delivery. We take immense pride in meticulously packing each order with care. We do offer faster shipping options at check out. If you believe the weather in your area is too harsh for shipping, we recommend waiting until a better time. 

We have a 24-hour return policy, this means you have 24-hours after receiving your item to request a return. Please reach out with an unboxing video showing the damage within 24 hours of receiving the item.

To be eligible for a return, you must show proof the item was damaged upon arrival. 

To start a return, you can contact us at info@thepottedparlorplantboutique.com. If your return is accepted, you must return the item to 20708 N 259thAve, Buckeye, AZ 85396. Once the item is received in reasonable condition, you will have the option of a full refund of your purchase price (this will exclude the cost of shipping) or a replacement plant if available. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

*If Cold Weather Protection is not purchased with your order and your local weather is below 50 degrees within a 14 day period from date of order, your order will not be eligible for a return or replacement. Please be aware of your local weather to ensure your plants are able to arrive safely*

Tissue Cultured Plantlets

It is up to the customer to be able to provide proper acclimation to the plantlets. We are happy to help answer any questions you may have in regards to the process of acclimating plants. The Potted Parlor will not be held liable for plantlets that do not survive acclimation. Included with each tissue culture order is an instruction guide for step by step instructions. Once plantlets have begun acclimating, they are no longer eligible for return. Please contact us at info@thepottedparlorplantboutique.comfor any questions. 

Lost/Missing/Stolen Packages

The Potted Parlor will not be held liable for any lost/misplaced/stolen packages that have been successfully marked as delivered. We guarantee to send your packages to the address that you provided at check out. Should your package be marked delivered via tracking, please reach out to your local carrier branch to confirm where the package was placed.

Every package is insured for $100 through the USPS. Should your package be damaged in transit due to delays, mis-scans, or a missing package; Please file a claim with USPS to receive the $100 insurance which was provided with each package. We are happy to provide any documentation you may need.

Please note: We do not provide wholesale orders at this time.  Should we provide wholesale orders in the future we will update the terms of service here.

We reserve the right to hold an order based on shipping conditions in your area. We reserve the right to cancel an order if insulation/heat pack is not purchased with the order. If the weather in your area is unsafe to receive perishable items, we reserve the right to cancel & refund your order. If you would like your order held for a later date, please contact us at info@thepottedparlorplantboutique.com.
